In terms of gameplay the core mechanic remains the same as Guitar Hero: World Tour and Rock Band. With this is mind, it's nice to see that with Metallica's game, Neversoft has really pushed the boat out and added new features and touches to make this feel like less of a spinoff and more of a genuine offering to the series.
